To compete successfully in the 21st century global economy
Florida needs highly skilled workers with advanced training in technology-related fields. This demand for skilled labor is no more acute than in the automotive service industry, where technology advances have outstripped the available pool of talented employees
Automotive Youth Educational Systems (AYES)
AYES is a school-to-career initiative that combines the resources of automotive manufacturers, dealership/retail facilities and certified schools to develop qualified, entry-level technicians.
FADA helps facilitate this program in high schools and technical schools around Florida.
Service Advisor Program
This 12-week program provides graduates with the opportunity to enter a high-wage, in demand career in automotive sales and service.
Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are eligible to seek an ASE Industry Certification as a certified Automobile Service Consultant.
This unique, first of its kind program was created at the request of automotive dealerships throughout the state to meet the increasing demand for qualified employees to work in this critical customer service position.
Florida Automotive Instructor’s Summer Training Workshop
Each summer FADA hosts our annual Florida Automotive Instructors Summer Training Workshop. This event, hosted at Mid Florida Tech in Orlando, draws automotive instructors from around the state. This summer marked the 12th anniversary and keeps growing each year.
FADA Certified Technician Test
This industry-driven assessment was developed as a result of the need within the automotive industry for a trusted, reliable credential that could be used when hiring employees and is used in high schools throughout the state.
The primary purpose of the Florida Automobile Dealers Association (FADA) Certified Technician is to distinguish those individuals who demonstrate mastery of automotive service technology core competencies, skills, and knowledge as an entry-level technician.
